LifeBytes Magazine is een nieuw print magazine dat vanaf eind maart 2023 aanvankelijk elke 3 maanden verscheen. Al snel groeide het van een kwartaalmagazine uit naar een tweemaandelijks magazine, met 3 Specials én 3 reguliere nummers per jaar.
De Nederlandstalige printversie van LifeBytes Magazine is te vinden bij onder andere taxibedrijven, reisbureaus, restaurants, en wachtzalen in Vlaanderen en in het zuiden van Nederland. De Engelstalige printversie wordt vooral gedistribueerd op (film)festivals, beurzen, en conventies.
Wat LifeBytes uniek maakt, is dat het niet enkel wordt afgedrukt op een oplage van 5.000 exemplaren, maar dat élk nummer ook als pdf wordt opgestuurd naar een brede database van meer dan 64.000 abonnees. Daartussen bevinden zich dus ook ook meer dan 6.300 Nederlandstalige en tienduizenden Engelstalige journalisten, vloggers, bloggers, en influencers.
Bovendien worden de 5.000 exemplaren verdeeld via allerlei kanalen die heel wat mensen bereiken, waaronder taxibedrijven, reisbureaus, restaurants, en wachtzalen in Vlaanderen en in het zuiden van Nederland. Omdat elk nummer gemiddeld door 5 tot 6 mensen wordt gelezen, bereik je daarmee ook telkens 25.000 tot 30.000 personen. Tel daarbij het aantal bezoekers van de website die in maart 2023 zal gelanceerd worden op, en je komt al snel aan een indrukwekkend totaal van meer dan 100.000 lezers, met daaronder een groot gedeelte van de Nederlandstalige pers.
Het team achter LifeBytes is ervaren, met de Nederlandse artieste Paula van Unen als hoofdredactrice en Dirk Vandereyken, winnaar van de gouden medaille voor cultuur van zijn stad, op veertienjarige leeftijd de jongste (sf-)schrijver van België, CEO van Badass PR, en COO van de Association of European Journalists Belgium als een van de belangrijkste bijdragers en als co-redacteur. Ook ervaren rotten als de ex-associate publisher van Vice Magazine en een van de bekendste journalisten van Roularta verlenen hun pen aan het tijdschrift.
LifeBytes Magazine is a new print magazine that initially appeared every three months starting from the end of March 2023. It quickly expanded from a quarterly to a bimonthly publication, including 3 Specials and 3 regular issues per year.
The Dutch-language print version of LifeBytes Magazine can be found in various places including taxi companies, travel agencies, restaurants, and waiting rooms in Flanders and the southern part of the Netherlands. The English-language print version is primarily distributed at film festivals, trade shows, and conventions.
What makes LifeBytes unique is that it is not only printed in an edition of 5,000 copies, but each issue is also sent as a PDF to a broad database of more than 64,000 subscribers. This database includes over 6,300 Dutch-speaking and tens of thousands of English-speaking journalists, vloggers, bloggers, and influencers.
Moreover, the 5,000 copies are distributed through various channels that reach a lot of people, including taxi companies, travel agencies, restaurants, and waiting rooms in Flanders and the southern part of the Netherlands. Since each issue is read by an average of 5 to 6 people, it also reaches 25,000 to 30,000 individuals each time. Adding the number of visitors to the website that will be launched in March 2023, the magazine quickly amasses an impressive total of over 100,000 readers, including a large portion of the Dutch-speaking press.
The team behind LifeBytes is experienced, with Dutch artist Paula van Unen as editor-in-chief and Dirk Vandereyken, who won the gold medal for culture from his city, Belgium's youngest (science fiction) writer at age fourteen, CEO of Badass PR, and COO of the Association of European Journalists Belgium, serving as one of the key contributors and co-editor. Veterans such as the former associate publisher of Vice Magazine and one of the most well-known journalists from Roularta also contribute their expertise to the magazine.
